We recently had My Cozy Home Performance perform an energy audit and perform the much needed air-sealing and insulation work on the house. Mark and his crew were unbelievably knowledgeable, personable and efficient. I spent a fair amount of time observing them in the attic and I was very pleased by their attention to detail and professional workmanship There was not a joint or penetration that was left untouched.
Now that the work has been completed, we have been enjoying the comfortable temperatures inside the house and the clean, fresh air from the Heat Recovery Ventilator that My Cozy Home Performance installed for us. I have been keeping record of temperatures inside the house on my Davis weather station for several years now. I was thrilled to see how dramatic the difference in temperature loss was currently, compared to years past. This year, on an average October day, our house this year went from 71 degrees at the end of the day, to 67 degrees the next morning (No heat on in the house). In prior years, on all comparable days with the same highs and lows, the indoor temperature would routinely drop to a chilly 60-62 degrees each morning. This will obviously save me plenty of money in heating costs for decades to come.
